The Pinus aristata, commonly known as Rocky Mountain Bristlecone Pine, is one of the oldest and most resilient living tree species on Earth. Bristlecone Germination:

For the best results, Scarify by soaking in water for 24 Hrs. A short stratification of 6 weeks at 40 degrees F* can improve the germination rate. Check once a week to keep the moisture level just damp (Not Wet) as not to mold. After Stratification sow seeds appx. 1.8" deep in a well draining soil. Use a heated propagator after sowing. It will increase the germination rate & speed with some of them sprouting in as soon as 10 days while others may take a week or two longer.
