PURPLE GRANADILLA PASSION FLOWER VINE SEEDS (Passiflora edulis)
The Purple Granadilla Passion Fruit Vine (Passiflora edulis) is a fast-growing evergreen climbing vine native to South America, especially regions of Brazil, Paraguay, and northern Argentina. This tropical species is prized for its beautiful exotic flowers and delicious edible passion fruits, making it one of the most popular ornamental fruiting vines in the world.
Using coiled tendrils to climb, this vigorous vine can quickly reach heights of 20–30 feet or more, covering trellises, fences, walls, and arbors with lush green foliage. The spectacular flowers feature intricate purple, white, and blue patterns that attract butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds throughout the growing season.
The fruits are round to oval with a tough purple outer rind surrounding aromatic golden pulp filled with edible seeds. Passion fruit is widely used in desserts, juices, jams, smoothies, syrups, and tropical recipes due to its sweet-tart flavor and intense fragrance.
