The Guava Tree ‘Ruby Supreme’ (Psidium guajava) is one of the easiest and most productive tropical fruiting plants for beginner and experienced gardeners alike. Guava Germination:
1) Scarify by Boiling the seeds for five minutes prior to planting them to soften the tough outside and encourage germination rates.
2) Cover the seed with just a small amount of seed -starter mix. Use a heated propagator under keep the soil around 75 degrees Fahrenheit, and keep it moist by misting it whenever the top of the soil surface feels dry.
3) As with any Tropical or Exotic, patience is need as some will germinate in two weeks, while others could take over eight weeks. Definitely more than worth the wait!
