Known for its striking golden-yellow flower spikes tipped with fiery red styles, this plant is a showstopper that attracts nectar-loving birds and adds a bold splash of color to any landscape.

This dwarf Banksia grows as a compact upright shrub, reaching up to 8 feet tall and 6 feet wide, with narrow, dark green leaves silvery beneath, giving it year-round visual interest. “Fireworks” is hardy, drought-tolerant, and frost-resistant to just below 20 °F, making it suitable for coastal, exposed, and sandstone gardens. Banksia Germination:
1) Fill pots with a well draining seed starting mix.
2) Use a heated propagator to keep the soil temperature at 72 degrees F.
3) Lightly cover the seeds with 1/8 inch of Vermiculite. It is very important you place the seeds "flat" before lightly covering.
4) Keep moist, not wet. Wet soil will rot the seeds so keep moist. Do not let them dry out.
5) Patience is required as germination will begin between 21-60 days. If some sprout early, don't toss out the rest as they're still good. They just need more time.
