JACARANDA FERN TREE SEEDS (Jacaranda mimosifolia)

The Jacaranda Tree (Jacaranda mimosifolia) is a stunning tropical ornamental tree prized for its large clusters of fragrant blue-purple trumpet-shaped flowers and elegant fern-like foliage. Native to South America, this fast-growing species is widely planted throughout warm climates as a landscape specimen, street tree, and shade tree.

Jacaranda trees are known for producing spectacular foot-long pyramidal flower clusters that bloom heavily in spring and early summer, often lasting for over a month. Mature trees become covered in vibrant lavender-blue blossoms, creating one of the most dramatic floral displays of any ornamental tree.

The finely divided, fern-like leaves can grow up to 20 inches long, giving the tree a soft tropical appearance even when not in bloom. Depending on climate, Jacaranda may be semi-evergreen or deciduous.

This species grows rapidly, often adding several feet of growth per year when young, eventually reaching 25–50 feet tall with a broad spreading canopy ideal for shade.
