The Formosan Koa (Acacia confusa) is a rare and highly prized tropical hardwood tree, celebrated for its glowing golden-brown color, dramatic ribbon grain, and subtle iridescence that comes alive under finish. Koa Germination:

1) Roughly sand the hard shells.

2) Bring water to a simmer, (Not a boil), and pour into a container placing the seeds in. 

3) Allow the seeds to cool with the water, and soak for 24 to 36 hrs. Change water daily.

4) Use a heated propagator to keep soil temperature at appx 77 F. Sow appx. 1/8" deep in well drained soil and keep moist for optimal germination.

4) Germination can be expected within 3 to 4 weeks.

4) Use un propagador calentado para mantener la temperatura del suelo a aproximadamente 77 °F. Siembre a aproximadamente 1/8" de profundidad en un suelo bien drenado y manténgalo húmedo para una germinación óptima.

4) La germinación se puede esperar en 3 a 4 semanas.
