Bradford Pear Tree Seeds (Pyrus calleryana) | Callery Pear Ornamental Flowers

The Pyrus calleryana, commonly known as Bradford Pear or Callery Pear, is a fast-growing ornamental flowering tree prized for its spectacular spring blooms, brilliant fall foliage, and adaptability to a wide range of growing conditions. Native to Asia, this deciduous pear species became widely planted throughout North America for landscaping, urban planting, and ornamental use.

Bradford Pear develops a dense pyramidal to rounded crown and can grow up to 30–50 feet tall with a spread of approximately 20–35 feet. In early spring, the branches become covered with masses of bright white blossoms that create one of the most striking floral displays among ornamental trees.

The glossy green foliage later transforms into vibrant shades of red, orange, burgundy, and purple during autumn, adding exceptional seasonal color to the landscape. This species is highly tolerant of urban conditions including heat, drought, pollution, compacted soils, and varying soil types, making it a durable and adaptable landscape specimen.

Callery Pear is valued for its rapid growth rate, dense canopy, ornamental beauty, and resistance to many common diseases affecting fruit trees. It is frequently planted in parks, yards, streetscapes, and commercial landscapes due to its reliability and attractive appearance.
